The address in Chinese was 厦门市同安区通福路618号1号楼702室. The factory was established on September 4th, 2000, and specialized in the manufacture of plastic package. The production activities in the factory included blow printing, printing, micro-drill, bagmaking, inspection and packing. Audited location information: The audited factory rented the part of 3rd floor and 7th floor and the whole 8th floor of one 8-storey production building from the landlord. The rental agreement was provided to auditor for review. No dormitory, canteen or transportation facilities were provided by the audited factory. As per factory tour, there were many other factories in the same building. For example, the first floor was occupied by the factory produced the new materials. The second floor was idle. The rest part of third floor was occupied by Zhengyun Industry and Trade Co., Ltd. The fourth floor was occupied by one bag company. Layout of production building: The part of 3rd floor: warehouse The part of 7th floor: office The whole 8th floor: blow printing, printing, micro-drill, bagmaking, inspection and packing workshops Operating shifts and hours: Production employees ran 1 shift from 8:00 to 17:00 with the lunch break from 12:00 to 13:00. Sometimes production employees worked on Saturday for 8-hour overtime working hours and on weekdays for 2-hour overtime working hours. And they always had a rest on Sunday and statutory holidays. Time recording system: Biometric time record system. Salary payment details: Production workers were paid at hourly rate via bank transfer at 20th of next month. According to payroll and attendance records of 15 sampled employees (5 samples from October 2023, 5 samples from January 2024 and 5 samples from the most recent paid month March 2024), it was noted that the minimum wage paid to employees was CNY 20.115 per hour, which was more than the local minimum wage of CNY 11.67per hour since April 2022. Further, all sample employees were paid 150% of their normal wage for the overtime working hours on the normal working days and 200% of their normal wage for the overtime working hours on the rest days. No overtime working hours was noted on the statutory holidays. Worker number information: There were 47 employees in the factory including 32 production workers (12 males and 20 females) and 15 non-production workers. There were 32 domestic migrant workers (11 males and 21 females) in this factory. The youngest one was 20 years old. All employees were permeant. No seasonal, temporary, foreign migrant, disabled or home-based workers were noted in this factory. There were no other special group workers (interns, apprentices, contractor workers etc.) Good practices: None observed.
